Indian singer Shreya Ghoshal made her Royal Albert Hall debut on 6 May 2013 in a concert which was the culminating point of her European tour.

Shreya Ghoshal may not be the most familiar name to many in the UK, but her singing career has seen her become one of India’s biggest stars. She has picked up countless national awards which have led to international recognition, as well as being one of the three judges on X Factor India.

The sold-out concert gave London fans the rare opportunity to see one of India‘s biggest stars perform live. The singer used the concert to celebrate 100 years of Bollywood by performing songs from many of the genre’s landmark releases, including the record-breaking Ek Tha Tiger. The concert saw Ghoshal joined by a number of special guests including Jeffrey Iqbal and was presented by BBC Asian Network presenters Tommy Sandhu and Noreen Khan.

“Thank you London for giving me this high tonight. Being able to perform here at the Royal Albert Hall itself was a dream come true. And you just elevated this experience of a lifetime to just another level. Thank you for being this brilliant audience,”
