English rock heroes Kasabian returned to the Royal Albert Hall on 22 March 2013 to headline the fourth night of concerts in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust.
The audience rose to its feet as series curator and Kasabian advocate Noel Gallagher came out to jokingly introduce the band as “the best thing to come out of Leicester since Showaddywaddy”, before they created one of those special nights when most of those in attendance didn’t sit down again until their journeys home!
Frontman Tom Meighan and guitarist Sergio Pizzorno lead the Hall in a number of mass singalongs, once again creating an electric atmosphere, just like their previous headline performances here for the Teenage Cancer Trust in 2007 and 2009.
Support on the night came from Dark Horses and Jersey Budd.
Teenage Cancer Trust
The evening was once again held in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust. Curator Noel Gallagher was joined on stage to present the evening’s headliners by Charlotte, a cancer patient in remission who shared her story of how the Teenage Cancer Trust supported her through the hardest time of her life following her diagnosis of a Ewing’s sarcoma tumour.
You can watch Charlotte’s inspirational story in the video below:
