Meet Orchestra Vitae, although many of you who have visited the Hall may have already met them…

Orchestra Vitae, a new orchestra set up by Royal Albert Hall stewards, Michael Cobb (Musical Director), Fiona Gibbs (Orchestral Manager) and Barbara Hamilton (Administration Director), are set to perform live for only the second time.

No fewer than 21 members of current and former Royal Albert Hall staff will be involved in this concert, with stewards, Box Office assistants and Head of Front of House Julia Robinson all involved in one way or another.

On Thursday 20 September, the orchestra take to the stage at St. Stephen’s Church on Gloucester Road to perform Holst’s St Paul’s Suite Britten’s Violin Concerto and Brahms’ Second Symphony.

Tickets can be bought on the door or in advance via www.eventbrite.co.uk

The concert is being filmed and audio recorded by current Hall staff and if you swing by St. Stephen’s on Thursday, you may recognise a number of those working on the door and selling programmes too. If not, we hope to upload footage from the concert shortly.

It’s going to be an amazing evening of live music – come and see for yourself!

We certainly hope to see Orchestra Vitae on stage at the Royal Albert Hall one day.
