The awards, organised by the BPI, are seen as the classical equivalent of pop music’s BRIT Awards and have been celebrating the best in classical music since their inauguration in 2000.

Each year, the best names in crossover and classical music are recognised with these awards in a ceremony at the Hall, which sees world class live performances from some of the nominees and winners.

Hosted by the incomparable Myleene Klass, performances at the 2012 Awards will come from the likes of Andrea Bocelli, Andre Rieu, Russell WatsonNicola Benedetti, Miloš and the touring cast of Phantom of the Opera, as well as an orchestral tribute to Lifetime Achievement in Music Award recipient John Williams. With a number of world class acts still to be announced, the 2012 Awards are shaping up to be one of the biggest yet.
Tickets are on general sale and available at www.royalalberthall.com
